I killed my stainless steel pan! Help!?

Okay so I made the enormous mistake to put pam on a very, very hot ss frying pan. Now I have an ugly lookin pan that is stained and it’s just not coming off. How can I get it off? I’m scrubbing like a mad woman here. Anyone with some tips or tricks?
It’s scorched and crap is just horribly stuck on there. I wish I was seeing rainbows lol

I hate it when you scotch a shiny new SS pan – drives me nuts – but I’ve done too so you aren’t the first!

I assume you have tan or brown stains in the pan. If you don’t remove them – food will tend to stick worse over those areas in the future. It isn’t the end of the world, but I share your concern.

The only thing I know of that will help break that bond is Power Dissolver from Dawn dish washing soap. The only place I can find it is at Walmart, though. This is the website for it: http://dawn-dish.com/en_US/powerdissolver.do

It doesn’t remove all of it on the firs try – but it takes several times. And i’ve found all the hard scrubbing will not work unless you use some sort of chemical to help loosen it.

So try the power dissolver. It also removes the scorch marks from the bottom of the pans – and it can remove baked on grease from casserole dishes, etc.
