Silver Roses Last A Lifetime

Roses for any occasion throughout the year are a delightful gift. It would be marvelous if they could outlast time, but regrettably, they can’t. As substitute to the real rose, an investment in silver roses can be the second best thing.

Silver roses are exceptionally delightful and very economical. The history behind the rose is a long one; roses date back as far as 35 million years according to fossil evidence and are just as popular today as they have ever been.  It should come as no surprise that silver roses exist at all, because of how delightful the rose is.  Legend has it that Cleopatra filled her living quarters with rose petals so when Marc Antony came to see her he would reminisce about her for both the opulence of the many flowers as well as remember her each time he smelled a rose.

Women of high society in Rome centuries ago believed that rose petals could be used to preserve the youthful looks of their skin by banishing wrinkles, if they were used in poultices. They also believed that when rose petals were dropped in wine, its essence would help to prevent intoxication. Roses were also well known symbols that represented happiness and joy. When Roman soldiers came back victorious from war, rose petals were showered on them from balconies high above the streets by civilians welcoming them home.

There is no disputing the timeless beauty of a rose and with expert artistry, silver roses have managed to capture that same loveliness even though they are not the real thing.  Although one cannot deny the refreshing fragrance of a fresh rose, that wonderful scent eventually disappears leaving nothing but a faded and  unlovely flower. The loveliness of silver roses will never fade. Even though they don’t have the fragrance of the real thing, one could get creative and spray them with a rose like fragrance  if the smell is important.

Silver roses are an excellent gift for all occasions of the year. Don’t mistake the time-honoured tradition of giving flowers as being reserved simply for special occasions – they can be given just as easily to tell someone they are on your mind as they can for an anniversary or birthday.  As an alternative to spending large sums of money on something that may never be utilized or looked at again, why not make an enduring impression with silver roses?  Most certainly you will make someone feel uniquely appreciated with this exceptional and adorable gift.
