Is it not a sin to worship a wall, rock or piece of wood or statues?

There is no mention of kissing the black stone in the Quran.. only our hadeeths (sayings of religious authorities from the past)..
There is no religious significance gained by doing it..
The black stone is nothing more than a marker point for the Kabba.. a corner stone.. It is not the whole purpose of that area..
We as muslims are told to face Mecca when we are anywhere in the world and praying.. its a point of reference to focus our prayers to..
While inside the mosque and doing religious rites.. we traverse the kabba 7 times. and just to know and help you to count how many times (especially in crowds) you can look over and see at what point you’ve been around the building..
It is not holy, its not an idol, it wont do anything to you, it wont grant you prayers or blessings or anything.. Its just a rock.. nothing more..
It could have been anything.. a tree, a purple rock, a brick, whatever.. its just a cornerstone marker, nothing more..
