How long does it take for Jade to turn green?

I have this Jade necklace pendant, and I was just wondering, how long does it take for it to turn green?
(I’ve had it for about a year now)

If it’s pure jade (it’s usually clear), it’s not changing color. Only naturally green jade will. Green jade is infused with chromium and iron compounds which rust when oxidized. This makes the green color, but it’s not a permanent change.
