How do I go from hot pink hair to intense blue hair?

I dyed my hair hot pink about a month ago, and it faided a little. I want to bleach it again but i don’t know if that will make it turn blonde again or just make it look funny. i want it to be blue but i dont want pink showing under it…any tips?
P.S I can’t afford anything TOO pricey…$20 is my limit.

How faded is your pink? Is it still bright pink? Or is it more baby pink/salmon or orange?

If it’s still bright pink or nasty orange…Bleach it. If your hair was blonde before dying it hot pink, the color should strip with the bleach, and maybe just have a slight pink tint to it. If your hair was more of a dark blonde or orange before you dyed it hot pink, you may have a weird orange tint, or possible some red left behind.

Get your hands on a toner. If your hair is baby pink or salmon, you can probably just skip to this part. I use Well Charm Toner called White Lady. Mix it with a 10-Vol developer as instructed by the toner’s box. This process is very inexpensive. Maybe $5-$10 depending on brand/where you buy it/how much you need. Let that sit in your hair for about 5 minutes, wash it out and you should have blonde hair with little to no pink. Sometime with me, I get some lavender color left behind, but for blue that is OK.

Dye it blue. As long as your hair is light blonde, with very minimum pink (which it should after a bleach and toner) it will cover very nicely.
