religious cross on ‘M”?

I was giving a religious pendant from my great grandmother about 20 years ago before she passed away. The pendant was a holy cross on top of a letter M(or a structure in the shape of an M). I can’t seem to find the meaning of this cross? Any guidance would be appreciated

It appears to be a common symbol in constantinople around 500 years ad on coins. (Which means that the symbol is more ancient than the “marian cross.” They stole it from constantinople)
