Poker and Bridge Players Together for Years
There were four couples who had been playing cards, specifically Poker for years and they would take turns going from one house to another each week. The wives were used to this ritual and they would also meet at one of the other houses when it was time for them to play cards. Their wives would make sure they had enough food and then they would prepare a little extra to take to the ladies. The ladies would play bridge, for years this turned out to be very convenient for everyone. In fact, they looked back to see how long they had been doing this little ritual to find out it had been going on ten years.
One of the wives decided that for ten years, this means an award is deserved and she started searching the internet to see what types of things could be given that would be enjoyed by all, the men and the women. She found a place and as she was looking through the wide selection of things the crystal awards had struck her fancy. There were so many choices in the crystal awards category that it was hard to choose something that would please both sides of the house. She had decided on a serving plate and at the bottom of the plate would be the four designs of the cards. It would start with the spades, the clubs, and then the diamonds and end with the hearts. On the top of the plate would be a date. On the right half of the plate would start the names of the wives across from their husbands starting with the oldest to the youngest.
This idea was starting to come together with the help of the crystal award and she was getting excited. In the next game she started a conversation and brought up the question and answer on how long they have been playing cards together. When they all agreed that it had been ten years they decided it was time to celebrate. They thought of and agreed on a restaurant they all liked and a date that they could all go to celebrate the occasion. She had ordered the award and when it came in the crystal award was as beautiful as she imagined. The etching on the plate and the script were perfect. The quality was very nice and she knew it would be just from talking to the people at the company. They offered such great customer service she could easily recommend them to anyone looking for a special award.
At the restaurant it was time, she brought out the crystal award and with the lights they were sitting under the plate sparkled and all the prisms lit up at once. It was given to the oldest couple to be passed to the next couple the following year at this time. This would allow everyone a chance to have it in their home. They loved the idea and loved her even more because she thought of doing something about it.
