Cross Pendant – Spreading Its Horizons
Pendants are add-on for the chains that people normally wear around their neck and are a part of the jewelry collection. While some prefer to wear the chain without a pendant some prefer to use a pendant. Pendants no doubt enhance beauty of the wearer. There are innumerous types and designs of pendants but the one that carries more value and sentiment is the Cross Pendant. This is in reality a pendant that, though a small entity gives a lot of lesson to others about humanity, sacrifice, suffering and righteousness in the general perspective. Apart from this, many are religiously attached to it and a Cross Pendant is worn to display their religiousness and their attachment to it.
But of late a new concept is coming up and that is the young mass who are revolutionizing on the right path of uniting people across. For them various human values are the true religion and thus any symbol that displays any of these virtues is worth adopting. In that concept one can find many of these young people wearing a Cross Pendant even though they do not belong to the original religion i.e. Christianity. And this is widely welcomed and accepted by many. They are marching ahead to make a wave of change on the way peopled look at religion. They are breaking the barriers that are limiting people from extending their hand towards humanity, the true religion. As a first step they have begun wearing and gifting to others these pendants.
When we take a look at the Cross Pendant we can note certain properties of these which are that:
These pendants can be made of various metals like gold, silver etc. They can be made in the simplest form as a simple cross to the most elaborate and exquisite one that comes with various designs on the cross. The Apostles Cross, the Cathedral Cross, Orthodox Cross, Western Cross and Disciples Cross are a few traditional designs or categories of cross that are made with specific designs that differentiate them from other normal cross pendants. Some are even made with a statue of Jesus crucified on the cross. Some who are into mixing values and fashion to give it a even more gorgeous look are using precious stones like gems, diamonds etc.
Today one can find many new and contemporary designs imbibed into these pendants without disturbing their originality. This is indeed a welcome move as this will enable even the not too religious kind of persons to wear these pendants as a fashionable item. These pendants can be used by both men and women equally. The only difference is that the men prefer to use a slightly bigger and heavy pendant that the others.
The beauty of these cross pendants is the fact that they can be worn anytime anywhere without the least thought as they go well with all types of outfits and in all moods – be it official meeting, friend’s party or family function, a simple get together or as a day – to – day wear.
